1970 Hemi Four Speed Convertible

This is the first Hemicuda 4 Speed convertible ever built.

.

About the Images

This car was bought by the Blakes in 1979.  It was restored by the Blake Machine gang in 2015, during a 6 month restoration.

1 of 5 Hemicuda Convertibles with a 4 speed transmission for US Sales.

This convertible was a true ultra performance optioned race car.  It's only upgraded options other than the high impact FC7 purple paint, was the 426 Hemi engine, heavy duty 4 speed Hemi transmission and the super performance axle package which included power brakes and a 4.10 Rear end package.

The car came with only one speaker for the FM Radio.

To augment the total performance aspect of this car, it was ordered as a no frills racer.  It has no power steering, no power top, no power windows, no console, no remote mirror, no right side mirror, plane steel wheels, and no ralley gauges.  Most hot rodders and racers did not trust the factory gauges, and preferred to add their own aftermarket tachometer and engine gauges that they did have confidence in.  This car has the least non-performance options and the most performance options of all the Hemi E body convertibles built.

Sold new in Pennsylvania to Tom Harrington.

12622 Original miles.

No replaced panels.

Vin plate is still factory riveted to it's original, unrestored dash pad.

Owned by the Blake Family since 1979.
